Battery Monitor Mode Overview
Some DSI transmitters have a battery monitor mode allowing the user to view how much battery life is left. The Dataquest A.R.T. User Guide contains a detailed procedure of how to determine the remaining battery life of these transmitters when using the Dataquest A.R.T. software. Battery monitor mode information is not available with the Dataquest OpenART software. The following transmitter models include a battery monitor mode:
- TL11M3-F40-TT
- TL11M2-C50-PXT
- TA11PA-D70
- TL11M2-D70-PCT
- TL11M3-D70-CCP
- TL11M3-D70-PCP
- TL11M3-D70-PCTP
Notes:
- The battery monitor mode has a lower tone than the On mode.
- Battery monitoring while in Battery Monitor Mode is only available when the transmitter has 14 days or less of battery life remaining.
- The TA10TA-D70 also has three modes in the following order: Off, Reference Mode (for Internal use only), and On.
- The rest of the above transmitters have three modes in the following order: Off, On, and battery monitor mode.
- To monitor the battery life of a TL11M3-D70-PCTP, it must be configured as a D70-PCP for the battery mode to be accessible to the Dataquest A.R.T. software.
- The 4ET-S1/S2 transmitters do not have a separate battery monitor mode, but the battery voltage can be monitored as a parameter in Dataquest A.R.T. and Ponemah.
- The TA11-CTA-D70 and TA10-TA-D70 have 3 modes in the following order: Off, reference mode and On. The reference mode is for factory use only and does not measure battery life. These transmitters cannot record temperature in reference mode
- For the C50-PXT and D70-PCT, the pressure channel will not be available when using battery monitor mode
- If using the MX2 interface, click the Refresh Battery Status button within the Implant details, while the implant is transmitting in Battery Monitor Mode. This will update the Battery Status with the current battery life remaining.
