Newer versions of Ponemah can read the .RAW binary waveform files and the .RVW review analysis marks binary data file and perform analysis on the collected data on all previous versions of Ponemah. 

On certain versions of Ponemah, the .RVW file could be upgraded and if that is the case the user will be warned that the file will be changed.   Once the conversion is completed then that version of Ponemah or a newer version of Ponemah can use the .RVW file but not older versions of Ponemah. 

The only potential difference in analysis that can exist is if an upgraded analysis module changes how the analysis is performed.   If this is the case the changes will be noted in the Analysis Release Notes that are distributed with the release.
