Symptoms

The user is trying to install iPRECIO Management Software, and they are asked to enter their serial number from the label on the CD.  The serial number is not accepted. 

AND

The user previously had iPRECIO Management Software Version 1.2 or lower, indicated by the label on the CD, and they are upgrading to Version 1.3 or newer.

Reason

Primetech uses a different pre-fix for the installation serial number depending upon the version installed.  Since the user is installing a newer version, the installation serial number will need to be modified slightly.

Resolution

The pre-fix is patterend as follows:

IMSV##R$$$XXX

Where 

• ## is the version number without a period (i.e. 1.3 would be 13).
• $$$ is the build number (i.e. 1.3.528, the build number is 528).
• XXX is the customer's 3-digit serial number, or just the last 3-digits of their original installation serial number (i.e. IMSV12R251123, the 3-digit serial number here is 123).

For Version 1.3.528:

IMSV13R528XXX (where XXX is their 3-digit serial number as mentioned above).

For Version 1.3.531:

IMSV13R531XXX (where XXX is their 3-digit serial number as mentioned above).
