Using a Virtual License with the Harvard Bioscience License Server
This article will explain how to use the HBIO virtual licensing (no USB dongle needed) to activate and run Harvard Bioscience software that is enabled with the feature.
License Key
A 25 character (Finepointe/Ponemah/Phoenix) or 19 or 25 character (Neuroscore) license key will be provided after the purchase of a software package with virtual license option.
The software will prompt for a license key when it is first opened. The license key can also be modified/updated from within the software.
License Activation
After installation, open the software. For a new install the license activation will pop up immediately, go to Register Computer with Internet Access . For an existing installation, please see the table below on instructions on how to prompt for the license information.

Go to Help>About Application and select Update License.

| Enter the 19 or 25 character code provided. If the computer has internet access, select "Submit" and a dialog will notified you if the license key was activated successfully. |
Get the License Code from the computer with the software installed.
Note: The License Request box will show a specific code only when a license key is entered in the box above. Navigate to the Harvard Bioscience License Server
Enter License Text to the computer with the software installed.

Go to Help>About Application and select Update License.
Select the option to Deactivate (Neuroscore) A window will pop up to confirm license Deactivation. The license will be free to be used on another computer (Register Computer) |
