Explanation of Cycle Numbers Resetting After 99,999 in Ponemah
Symptom
When viewing the cycle numbers in Ponemah on either the graph page, or by viewing the NUM derived parameter in the Derived Data table, the user notices that the cycle count resets to 1 after reaching 99,999.
Reason
In Ponemah (all versions), cycle numbers on graph pages and in the derived data tables will not count higher than 99,999. After reaching this cycle, the cycle number labeling will start over again at cycle number 1.
Solution
None, this is the intended operation. It was felt that six-digit numbers would take up too much space in the software interface. The functionality is intended to keep cycle numbers from becoming difficult to use in the Ponemah workspace.
