Minimum Computer Specifications for DSI Workstations
DSI recommends the following computer configurations to optimize data acquisition and review with DSI software.
Acquisition Workstation Requirements
The following requirements are recommended for acquisition workstations required to support a minimum of 24 hours continuous data collection, but are sub-optimal for reviewing and analyzing large telemetry datasets.
Workstation requirements:
- Windows 10 (64 bit only)
- Microsoft Office 2010 or later
- Minimum 8 GB of RAM
- Minimum 250 GB SATA hard drive
- Intel® Core™ i7 or Xeon processor
- Minimum 1 Ethernet network connection*
- Minimum 4 USB-A ports
- Mouse/Keyboard
- DVD±RW drive (Recommended, not required)
* If using PhysioTel™ Digital, MX2, or JET™, a second Ethernet network interface card (NIC) is recommended.
Data Review Workstation Requirements
The requirements listed below are the optimal specifications for Data Review workstations required to support the analysis of large telemetry datasets.
Workstation Requirements:
- Windows 10 (64 bit only)
- Microsoft Office 2010 or later
- Minimum 8 GB of RAM, 16 GB or more highly recommended
- Minimum Hard Drive configuration (RAID should be considered for reliability)
- 512 GB Solid State Drive
- Intel® Core™ i7 or Xeon processor
- 1 Ethernet network connection
- Minimum 4 USB-A ports (or alternatively, use a powered USB hub - required for FinePointe)
- Mouse/Keyboard
- DVD±RW drive (Recommended, not required)
