Select Review Channels Option when Loading a Review File in Ponemah v5.20
Background
Review is the post process method used by Ponemah to view, analyze, and report data after acquisition has completed. In large collections using multiple animals, it may be advantageous to only load a subset of the animals (or signals) in order to save time and improve efficiency. Loading only a subset of animals or signals decreases the amount of time needed to load the data as well calculate the derived parameters. This can also save time when analyzing and saving the Review file once post processing has completed.
Loading a Subset of the Data
When a Review file is selected, the user is presented with the following dialog. All channels collected will be displayed along with a checkmark beside each channel by default.
The checkmark denotes that those channels selected will be loaded into Review when the Apply button is selected. The user had the ability to deselect any channel to prevent that channel from being loaded. Selection of multiple channels is also permitted by using the Windows <Ctrl> and <Shift> function keys. If using the multi-select function, all channels selected will become highlighted. Next, right-click the mouse to view the option to disable those selected channels (shown below). After choosing to disable the channels, the checkmark will be removed next to each of the selected channels.
When the data is loaded, only those channels selected will be available in Review. Any analysis that is performed can only be applied and saved for those channels that have been loaded.
Study Option
If using the Study Option, this feature can be found by clicking the arrow next to Review in the lower portion of the dialog. After selecting a Review file, the Review button will become available. By clicking the arrow next to the button, two options will be displayed. “Review” will load all animals by default. “Custom Review” will present the dialog shown previously to allow you to choose the channels that will be loaded into Review.
Once an option is selected, this will become the default for loading subsequent Review files. In the image shown below, the default loading preference has been updated to “Custom Review”. To load all channels, simply click the arrow next to this option and select “Review.”
