Collecting ECG using the ECG POD with Needle Electrodes
The standard cable harness that is provided with the system when collecting ECG using the ACQ-7700 with DCOM amplifier connected to the ECG POD is a 12 lead ECG which contains both grabber and banana plug ends, either of which can be used. These ends are designed for direct connection to the subject using external ECG patch electrodes. If a needle electrode setup is to be used which terminates in a 1.5 mm plug end, this cannot be easily connected to the 12 lead ECG harness. In this use case, an adapter can be used to connect the banana plug end to the 1.5mm jack.
Example: The 1.5mm jack cannot properly plug into the harness. There are a couple options that have been outlined to work around this problem.
Option 1:
Banana-to-pin adapter that can be purchased online at https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/e-z-hook/9340-BLK/574053
(Digikey part 461-1234-ND)
