How to configure the Ponemah v6.x PC clock when the use of Day Light Savings is not desired.
Ponemah v6.x requires the Adjust for Daylight Saving Time be enabled on the acquisition computer in order to be able to start the telemetry acquisition. The data time stamps will reflect the time change as dictated by the Daylight Saving Time.
If adjusting for Daylight Saving Time is not desired (i.e. requiring unperturbed circadian cycle) the time zone on the computer should be set to a time zone that reflects the correct time for the time zone where the lab is located, but does not observe Daylight Saving Time.
Example
In Germany, one can select the time zone for UTC+01:00 West Central Africa which coincides with the German winter time. This selection is appropriate if it is desired that the time on the acquisition computer should run permanently according to the German winter time.
UTC+01:00 West Central Africa will allow starting the acquisition in Ponemah v6.x, while keeping the computer time unchanged by the Daylight Saving Time as it is not observed in West Central Africa.
