LabChart PhysioTel Connect 1.0 Release Notes
PhysioTel Connect 1.0 adds support for the DSI PhysioTel™ implantable telemetry platform, through the
Matrix 2.0 (MX2) for PhysioTel™ and HD implants. PhysioTel Connect 1.0 requires LabChart 8.1.5.
The MX2 can be identified and configured through the LabChart interface. Data is sampled directly into
LabChart software. PhysioTel Connect supports telemetry implants for mice and small animals. Supported
parameters include:
- Pressure and activity
- Temperature and activity
- Biopotentials and activity
- Combination of pressure, biopotential(s), temperature and activity
Known issues
Immediately after PhysioTel Connect is installed, or after the computer is restarted, there will be
a five minute period while the NTP service is starting before you can record from a DSI MX2.
During this five minute period:
- LabChart will not correctly record data from the device, or a ‘Waiting for Device Synchronization’ dialog may appear for up to five minutes.
- When attempting to configure an HD implant you may get the error ‘Matrix Not Synchronized’.
If either of these occur please wait for at least five minutes and try again.
When entering calibration values that contain decimal points in the MX2 Configuration dialog,
text field validation can remove the decimal point. We recommend checking your manually
entered calibrations and configuration setup before saving and exiting.
When removing and adding implants in the MX2 configuration dialog, the order of the implants in
LabChart may change.
LabChart stores the MX2 configuration within the LabChart data file, however you can only
record data with that file using the same MX2 system.
There may be a short delay (ranging from five to 25 seconds) after hitting the Start button before
Chart View starts to sample.
